UNPREDICTABLE CONDITIONS OF GROWTH
Inkjet Print, Wood Panel
Created at the Materiality Summer Residency at the Alberta College of Art + Design.
With the support of the Visual Arts and New Media Individual Project grant from Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
A constructed landscape of vibrant superimposed connections, mutations, and complexities. As an image maker, I seek to translate my conditions of growth as a human, as an immigrant, as a woman, and as an artist. Exploring the intricate way images are translated and understood based on how they are presented and materialized. The ability to trick and deceive the eyes, to form connections, and create a new language.
